Article posted: 16 November 2010

The Conference addresses the key issues facing science communicators in the UK and each year brings together people who are involved in public engagement - a diverse group of people from a broad range of backgrounds. It is a fantastic opportunity to network, share ideas and good practice and this year, as in previous years, we hope to run a bursary scheme for scientists, campaigning groups, science communication students and freelancers.

Call for Proposals:

We have now opened a call for proposals. This year's programme will include a variety of subjects however it also features a themed strand of 'Online Engagement' which aims to discuss the developing, evolving world of online science communication. We will, of course, welcome other suggestions for the conference to debate, consider and celebrate the diverse community. If you are interested in submitting a session idea please visit: http://www.britishscienceassociation.org/ScienceCommunicationConference. Here you can view programmes and reports from previous Conferences, advice on submitting a proposal and session ideas.

The deadline for submitting your proposal is Friday 26 November 2010.

If you would like to discuss your idea prior to submission then please contact Alice Taylor-Gee on 020 7019 4940 or email alice.taylor-gee@britishscienceassociation.org
