Weedy Window on Evolution

As part of the Darwin200 celebrations of Charles Darwin's bicentenary the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh will host a free public lecture 'Weedy Window on Evolution'. Nick Harberd, Ottoline Leyser and Liam Dolan, who all study the most important model organism from the plant kingdom - thale cress, will talk about what this apparently insignificant weed continues to reveal about plant evolution.

The lecture will take place on 30th June in the Lecture Theatre accessed via the Balfour Building on 20A Inverleith Row at 5.30pm, and is part of the International Conference on Arabidopsis Research being held in Edinburgh.

Drinks will be served beforehand from 5pm.
