BBC Live Stargazing Series

As many of you will know the BBC is broadcasting a live stargazing series on 3rd, 4th and 5th January and will have a website offering resources and promoting events. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wnvpf. While the timing is not great for schools getting involved it promises to give a huge a boost to wider public involvement in astronomy.

The BBC has already had a fantastic response from Scotland in terms of organisations setting up events linked to this series so there will be great opportunities for interested students, families and teachers to get along to one of these. Details will be on the website very soon, I understand.
